Hi, I’m Nathan! Thanks for coming to check out my page.

Here’s a bit about me:

I’m an Oregon local, currently living in Hillsboro. I grew up in Eastern Oregon in a small town called Cove, the oldest child of eight! (Kudos to you if you know where Cove is…the population is 800!)

One thing I love about photography is how it connects me with my surroundings and brings me new experiences. Even though I grew up in a small town, I’ve experienced a lot of the world and met some exciting people. Photography has taken me all over the country, to many exciting events and venues, and I’ve recently booked my first international wedding. My photo work has made me passionate about experiencing life to the fullest and always challenging myself to grow artistically.

When I was about 12 years old, I saved up about $300 between birthdays and chores and bought my first ever digital camera: a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P32. (That same camera can be found on ebay for less than $10 today…technology sure changes fast!)

Ever since then, I’ve always loved photography, but never really had the time to pursue it until I moved to California in early 2012 and met some other people who were passionate about taking photos. I traded one of my housemates two months of rent in exchange for his Canon DSLR and a couple lenses. My first foray into the photography gig world came after I upgraded that to the hot new mirrorless camera system from Sony, and was hired as a second shooter for several summer weddings with some photographer friends. (Getting back to my Sony roots!) As a business owner, I’ve constantly challenged myself to grow and branched out to create my own photography perspective: I want to capture each unique moment as purely as possible. I try to learn something with every shoot and explore the artform to the fullest.

But enough about me! Let’s talk about you.
